What to Expect during your Appointment
During an auriculotherapy appointment, the patient first completes an intake form detailing any concerns and aches. During the consultation, a conversation with the patient happens to discuss the use of ear seeds and their benefits. The session includes phototherapy (infrared light therapy) on the ear to enhance effectiveness. Finally, the small seeds are placed, typically made from Vaccaria, gold, or titanium, onto specific acupressure points on the ear. The appointment, which typically lasts around 45 minutes, concludes with instructions on how to apply pressure to the seeds for optimal results.
